Peggy Gross Comstock
Peggy Gross Comstock is a sole practitioner admitted to practice in all Courts of the States of Tennessee and Kentucky, and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Opening her own law office in November 2003, Ms. Comstock focuses her practice on meeting the needs of the individual and matters related to an individual’s family. She provides legal representation in matters of concern to a family including divorce, custody actions, adoptions, and planning for the family’s future with estate planning and probate and settling of their estate. Ms. Comstock focuses more on the individual with personal injury claims, workers’ compensation claims, and in pursuing a claim for Social Security disability. As an advocate for children and families, Ms. Comstock serves as a Guardian ad Litem in Juvenile Court and as a member of the Knox County Foster Care Review Board.
A native of Kentucky, Peggy Comstock received her undergraduate degree from Transylvania University, Lexington, Kentucky, in 1971, with a B.A. in Music Education. Immediately following graduation, Ms. Comstock worked at Gross Distributing Company in Lexington, mainly in accounting and inventory control, and attained the position of Vice-President of Operations. After moving to Louisville, Kentucky, in 1978, Ms. Comstock completed her Montessori Pre-Primary Certification. Peggy Comstock was a Montessori lead teacher for many years and successfully directed and operated a Montessori Preschool, with a staff of fourteen and an enrollment of one hundred and fifty students.
In 1991, Peggy Comstock entered the paralegal program at the University of Louisville. Realizing her interest in a legal career, she completed her Post Baccalaureate in Paralegal Studies, entered the University of Louisville School of Law (Brandeis School of Law) and graduated in 1996. While in law school, Ms. Comstock clerked for Judge Steve Mershon in Family Court and in Division Nine of Jefferson County Circuit Court. Anticipating a move to Knoxville, Tennessee, Peggy Comstock sat for two state bars, receiving her license to practice in Tennessee and Kentucky in October 1996.
Upon moving to Knoxville, Tennessee, with her husband in December of 1996, Peggy Comstock practiced with a sole practitioner for two years exclusively in the areas of personal injury, workers' compensation and social security. Ms. Comstock joined the law firm of Eshbaugh, Simpson, Varner, & Waters, as an associate, in December of 1999. With Eshbaugh, Simpson, Varner & Waters, Ms. Comstock continued in those areas, while focusing on family law and advocacy for children and families.
In her practice of law, Peggy Comstock continues in her efforts to serve families and children, and to meet the needs of any individual seeking her legal representation.

Pamela K. Leckey
Pam was born and raised in Michigan, where she also attended Michigan State University; graduating with both a B.S. in Criminal Justice, and a M.A. in College Student Personnel. Pam and her husband John relocated to the Knoxville area, twenty-nine years ago, where they raised their two sons, and are now proud grandparents.
In 2000, Pam decided to go back to school and pursue her legal interests. She graduated from Pellissippi State, as most Outstanding Graduate of the Year in 2003, with an A.S. Degree in Paralegal Studies; and earned certification as a Certified Legal Assistant in 2004. Pam is currently Secretary of the State of Tennessee Paralegal Association, as well as a member of the East Tennessee Chapter. She is also a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants.
Pam became Ms. Comstock’s Legal Assistant in 2006, bringing her years of experience and dedication to the legal profession. She is a valuable member of our staff, and works closely with our clients.
